In un contesto in costante trasformazione come quello libanese, l’architettura si configura quale strumento imprescindibile per affrontare le sfide della ricostruzione post-conflitto. La Fondazione Architetti di Reggio Emilia, nell’ambito delle attività internazionali del Festival RIGENERA “Piano B” – sostenuto dal Ministero della Cultura, Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea – in collaborazione con l’Ambasciata d’Italia, l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Beirut e l’Arab Center for Architecture, promuove un incontro pubblico volto a sollecitare studiosi, professionisti e istituzioni a riflettere su come intrecciare le pratiche architettoniche contemporanee con le esigenze delle comunità locali e con la valorizzazione della memoria e delle identità urbane.

In a ceaselessly transforming context such as that of Lebanon, architecture emerges as an indispensable instrument for confronting the manifold challenges of post-conflict reconstruction. The Fondazione Architetti di Reggio Emilia, within the framework of the international activities of the RIGENERA Festival “Plan B” – supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture, Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity – in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Beirut, the Italian Cultural Institute of Beirut and the Arab Center for Architecture, is convening a public talk designed to invite scholars, practitioners, and institutions to reflect upon how contemporary architectural practices might be interwoven with the needs of local communities and with the safeguarding and enhancement of memory and urban identities.
