The AER, Emilia-Romagna Architecture Prize, created by the Order of Architects P.P.C. of the Region with the objective of recognizing and showcasing those works that best represent the territory’s contemporary architecture. The competition will be held in the occasion of the Rigenera Festival- Circolare, winner of the public competition Architecture Festival – 2nd Edition, promoted by the Contemporary Creativity Directorate General of the Ministry of Culture. The concourse aims at promoting the architectural discipline in its social dimension and as the art of enabling people to live a certain way, by thoughtfully projecting the city and the environment.
Those who can enroll are individual or associate professionals, architecture or engineering companies and public administrations. Projects built before January 1st 2013 will not be admitted. Candidacy to the Prize, to be submitted strictly by 12:00am of March 24th 2023, strictly on-line, through the Concorsiarchibo platform, by following the procedure provided on the website and on the Call for Application.
Failing to fulfill the stated rules and lack of documentation provided will be considered justified dismissal by the Panel of judges.
Works designed by the following subjects will not be able to partake:
Members of the judging Panel, their first cousins, their relatives and related up to 1st degree included;
Members of the Organizing Committee, their first cousins, their relatives and related up to 1st degree included;
Presidents and Advisors of the Order of Architects of Emilia Romagna, their first cousins, their relatives and related up to 1st degree included;
Members of the Organizing Secretary
Institutional and managerial Offices of any partner of the Rigenera Festival-Circolare
Why one should attend
Jury will assign three medals –Gold, Silver, Bronze- to the winning projects. Special Mentioning can be assigned to those candidates that are considered most worthy. All of the rewarded interventions will be visible on the website and will be published on a dedicated printed volume. The Prize news will have a considerable general and specialized press coverage. The 10 finalist projects and the 10 facilities selected by the jury will be exhibited in Brussel and Curitibe (Br) in an exhibition held by the Rigenera-Circolare Festival organizers.
The Jury
The jury is composed by the President Chiara Tonelli, Full Architecture Technology Professor at the Roma Tre University, João Ferreira Nunes, landscape architect, founder and CEO of PROAP, Andrea Rinaldi, Associate Professor for Urban and architectural composition at the Ferrara University and Festival Scientific Director, Simone Sfriso, architect and founding partner of TAMassociati, Gianmatteo Romegialli, architect and founder of Acr-Romegialli and President of the Order of Architects P.P.C. of Sondrio.
